Using Sakai’s Nightly Build to Test Basic LTI

Thanks to Chris and Anthony, the Sakai Nightly build now includes trunk-experimental – so Sakai’s Basic LTI tool is up and available for testing. This is the tool targeted (subject to approval) for Sakai 2.7 – so a bit of testing is a fine idea – please me send questions and bugs…
Here are the steps.
Go to:
http://nightly2.sakaiproject.org:8085/portal/
Click on New Account name make an account.
Press Worksite Setup
Press “New”
Pick “Project”
Give the site a title and press “Continue”
Tick “Basic LTI” and press “Continue”
Press “Continue”
Press “Create Site”
Click on the Site Tab at the top.
Click on “Basic LTI”
Click on the configure icon (Pencil and paper in upper right)
Enter the URL, Secret and Key for your external tool. Here is my test tool:

Key: lmsng.school.edu
Secret: secret
Check “Send Email Address” and “Send User Info” and other parameters as appropriate.
Press “Update Options”
Viola!
You should see your external tool.
