Getting Students Involved in Open Source Software

This will be a report from an independent study course at the University of Michigan School of Information which set out to introduce a student programmer to developing and contributing to in Sakai. We will look at the barriers that needed to be overcame, what we learned along the way, and what was accomplished.

This presentation proposal has been submitted to the Open Apereo 2016 conference in New York City on the 24th and 25th May 2016.
